Belgium Defeats U.S. in World Cup to Reach Quarterfinals

In Seattle, the United States faced a disappointing end to their World Cup journey at home. Belgium’s Charles De Ketelaere played a crucial role, scoring twice and assisting another goal. His performance highlighted weaknesses in the American defense, leading to Belgium’s 4-1 victory on Monday night and securing their spot in the quarterfinals.

The U.S. team gained a temporary boost from star forward Folarin Balogun. FIFA controversially lifted his one-game red-card suspension. Despite Balogun’s presence, defensive errors by the American team resulted in Belgium’s dominance.
