A K2 Cargo Airways Boeing 737-400 with five crew members has gone missing during its journey from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates to Karachi in Pakistan. This incident has prompted a significant search effort over the Arabian Sea.
The missing flight, labeled KTA1732, was last tracked approximately 300 kilometers west of Karachi on Tuesday evening. Initial flight-tracking data indicated a sudden and significant drop in altitude along with an abrupt change in course just before losing contact.
Prior to its disappearance, Pakistani authorities reported that the flight crew had communicated a problem with the aircraft’s navigation system. They were being assisted by air traffic controllers at that time.
The Rescue Coordination Centre in Pakistan has initiated a comprehensive search involving multiple agencies to find the missing plane. As of now, no wreckage or survivors have been found, and no official confirmation of a crash has been made. An investigation is set to commence once the aircraft is located.
This is a developing story and will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
