Australian Woman Missing After Las Vegas Hike: Search Underway

An Australian tourist, Sally Grace Contarino, has disappeared while on vacation in Las Vegas, leaving friends and family deeply concerned. Contarino, 26, from Melbourne, has not been heard from in three weeks.

A friend reported receiving a message from Contarino on June 20 stating that she was going for a hike, according to the New York Post. She traveled from Melbourne on June 13 and confirmed her arrival at her Las Vegas hotel to a family member on June 18, KLAS reported.

Contarino was last seen at 9700 West Skye Canyon Drive in Las Vegas. Her disappearance was reported when she missed her flight home, prompting authorities to launch a search. The Australian Consulate in Los Angeles was contacted by Las Vegas Metro Police following a report from Victorian Police in Australia.

Red Rock Search & Rescue, a Las Vegas-based non-profit, issued an alert regarding the missing tourist. The alert mentioned Contarino’s trip included stops in Las Vegas, Mt. Charleston, and Southern California. They urged anyone with information to contact police.
