Charles Snowden’s Three-Game Suspension

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Charles Snowden will miss the opening three games of the 2026 NFL season due to a suspension. According to the league’s transactional wire on Tuesday, the suspension is linked to a DUI arrest from 2024. This was confirmed by an NFL spokesperson to Fox News Digital.

Snowden will be absent from key matchups, including the Cowboys’ season opener against the New York Giants, their home games with the Washington Commanders, and the Baltimore Ravens.

Despite the suspension, Snowden can participate in all preseason activities. The suspension will begin once team rosters are finalized at 53 players.

In January, Snowden, now 28, settled the 2024 DUI charge by pleading no contest. The court ordered him to pay $1,000 and attend educational courses.

“Snowden will have his charge downgraded to reckless driving upon completing all court-ordered programs.”

He joined the Cowboys after a successful minicamp tryout, having signed as a free agent in the offseason. Snowden’s NFL journey started as an undrafted player from Virginia with the Chicago Bears in 2021. He played briefly in two games and missed the 2022 and 2023 regular seasons.

During 2024 and 2025, Snowden played for the Raiders. His most productive season was in 2025, recording three sacks, 28 tackles, and one interception over 15 games.
