In the recent All-Star Game, Crow-Armstrong managed a single hit during his lone at-bat. Jokingly, he commented about needing to pitch to compete with Ohtani’s prowess. He humorously suggested visiting a pitching lab in the offseason to improve his chances of winning the MVP.

“I was telling a few of the guys earlier, like, man, I would love to dethrone him, but I don’t know how you do it unless I go to whatever one of the pitching labs is in the offseason,” Crow-Armstrong said.

Munetaka Murakami of the Chicago White Sox left a lasting impression during the MLB All-Star Home Run Derby. He became one of only two Japanese players, alongside Ohtani, to participate in the prestigious event. During the Derby, Murakami hit nine home runs, averaging 421 feet. He enjoyed the atmosphere despite being ousted in the first round.

Through an interpreter, Murakami stated his excitement about being part of MLB and expressed a desire to stay with the White Sox long term. He felt his decision to join the team was the best one yet, even as he remains under contract through the next season.

“It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. We’re a winning squad so we’re just going to keep continuing that,” Murakami stated.

Vargas’ Historic All-Star Moment

Miguel Vargas, playing third base for the White Sox, made history at the All-Star Game. In the eighth inning, Vargas hit a 433-foot home run to left field, only the third such feat in the franchise’s participation history. His teammates recognized his achievement, calling the home run “majestic.”

Vargas expressed immense pride in playing alongside fellow Cuban-born players. The game featured a record seven Cuban players, with Vargas cherishing every moment.

“Sharing the moment with them is unbelievable,” Vargas said.
