Trump Promotes Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C.
President Donald Trump recently highlighted the upcoming Freedom 250 Grand Prix, set to unfold on the streets of Washington, D.C. next month. A video posted to his Truth Social account on Wednesday stirred excitement among racing fans.
The minute-long video showcases IndyCar drivers speeding along a track situated on the National Mall. Viewers can spot well-known landmarks such as the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument. Trump’s post included the label “FREEDOM 250 GRAND PRIX” and was accompanied by race car, American, and checkered flag emojis.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, Trump invited IndyCar drivers to the White House. The aim was to promote the race as part of the celebrations marking America’s 250th anniversary. “It’ll be one of the most unforgettable racing events the world has ever seen,” Trump assured reporters.
