Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry recently shared glimpses of their European family trip. Meghan used Instagram on July 23 to detail their “summer holiday” with their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5. The family appeared to be exploring the Alentejo region in Portugal, enjoying time at the beach, in the countryside, and in a pool.

Harry, sporting a backwards baseball cap, was pictured flipping his daughter in the pool. Meghan captured another moment where she observed from the sand as Harry and the children approached a wave. Photos also showed the family wandering through a garden and the children’s faces were not visible, reflecting the Sussexes’ commitment to their privacy.

A standout image featured Archie in a plane cockpit, guided by pilots. This is notable as Harry served for a decade in the British Armed Forces as an Apache helicopter pilot. Meghan also spent time with their rescue beagle, Mamma Mia.

These vacation photos surfaced about two weeks after Archie and Lilibet’s reunion with their grandfather, King Charles, and Queen Camilla. This marked their first meeting in four years, amid ongoing discussions about security and lodging. The meeting took place on July 10 at Highgrove House, the private residence of Camilla and Charles in Gloucestershire, England, as confirmed by Buckingham Palace and reported by BBC.

This family gathering was significant given the backdrop of Harry and Meghan stepping down from their senior royal roles due to security concerns since relocating to California in 2020.
