Calvin Ridley Discusses Offseason Stomach Bug After Consuming Fast-Casual Meal
Gastrointestinal issues have recently caught public attention. Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley shared his experience with a severe stomach bug during the offseason.
Ridley attributed his ailment to a meal from a popular fast-casual chain that offers burritos, burrito bowls, and various protein dishes.

On Saturday, Ridley confirmed he had been affected by the bug when asked by a reporter. He mentioned experiencing similar stomach problems multiple times in the past.
Ridley stated, “I’ve actually had that a couple of times in my life; maybe three or four times. It’s not a good thing. It’s like a 24-hour thing, but it really puts you down pretty good.”
The NFL player revealed losing about 15 pounds within a day due to this stomach issue.
In response to queries about whether lettuce in his meal contributed to the problem, Ridley mentioned Chipotle as the source. However, Chipotle has not been implicated in recent Cyclospora outbreaks, which have been a concern.

It’s important to clarify that Mexican food often receives unjust blame for stomach issues. Although Ridley’s experience was unpleasant, there is no confirmed link between his ailment and the restaurant meal.
