Former President Joe Biden is facing a challenging battle with prostate cancer. His son, Hunter Biden, recently revealed that the cancer has spread to other parts of his body. In an interview with the BBC, Hunter disclosed that his father’s cancer has metastasized into his bones, causing significant pain and debilitation.

Hunter Biden expressed his sorrow over his father’s condition, saying, “It’s really sad to watch. The only thing that I’d say about my dad, about his health right now, is I wish he would complain more, because it’s not good.” Despite his difficult health situation, Joe Biden continues to participate in public engagements.

The former president’s cancer journey became public in May 2025, months after he left office. Diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, the disease was already aggressive and had spread to his bones at the time of diagnosis. His Gleason score of 9 highlighted its severity and suggested he had been living with the condition for several years.

Dr. Ezekiel J. Emanuel, an oncologist and vice provost at the University of Pennsylvania, stated, “He had it while he was president and probably had it at the start of his presidency in 2021.” His diagnosis did not develop suddenly.

Jill Biden, the former first lady, shared her perspective on the situation during an appearance on ABC’s “The View.” She acknowledged that while her husband maintains his schedule, he has slowed down. She attributed these changes to both the cancer’s progression and the medications involved.
