LIV Golf is hosting its New York event at President Donald Trump’s National Golf Club Bedminster. This marks the third occasion for the tour at one of the president’s venues. During a previous event, President Trump attended to observe the proceedings.

President Donald Trump drove a golf cart at the LIV Golf event held at his Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey. According to The New York Post, he received an enthusiastic ovation from onlookers while navigating the course. The reception at sporting events varies, yet is often predictable. For instance:

The presence of the president is significant for LIV Golf, which is navigating financial changes. Previously, it was uncertain if the league would continue past 2026. The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which was LIV’s sole financial backer, announced in April it would cease funding.

Despite this challenge, LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil disclosed that an undisclosed investor has agreed to back the league. The investor has signed an agreement, which the Board has approved, to anchor future developments and ensure the league’s ongoing success, primarily focusing on player interests.
