His wife, aware of his political ambitions for two decades, supported his decision after mutual prayers.
During his career, Feely amassed considerable wealth and worked in a stable position at CBS. Now, he aims to represent Arizona’s 1st Congressional District as a Republican. The seat, previously held by Rep. Andy Biggs, is open as Biggs runs for governor. Trump’s endorsement elevated Feely during the primaries, positioning him against Democrat Amish Shah in the general election.
Feely and Shah share an unexpected connection: Shah served as a New York Jets team doctor while Feely was part of the team. Feely acknowledged this discovery, emphasizing the differing political policies between them, which will be key in the election.
Describing himself as a conservative, Feely advocates for Trump’s “America First” policies. He believes his NFL experience prepared him to address complex political issues hand-in-hand with diverse people.
