Diane Farr Embraces Life in the Pacific Northwest

Diane Farr, star of “Fire Country,” has moved on from her longtime home in Los Angeles to find happiness in the Pacific Northwest. With her children now attending college, Farr didn’t feel compelled to stay in California. She shared with Fox News Digital how she decided to settle in rural Washington.

Farr stated, “I actually moved to rural Washington because I could buy this pretty house, and it wasn’t very expensive compared to living in LA for all those years.” She now enjoys the serene lifestyle by the water, engaging in activities like paddleboarding and e-biking in the pleasant Northwest weather.

Her acting role as Sharon Leone, a Cal Fire Division Chief in “Fire Country,” allows her to be close to Vancouver, where the show is filmed. Farr mentioned her plans to divide her time between Vancouver and Spain, aiming to make the most of her “third act” in life.

Reflecting on her decision, Farr explained that her children becoming old enough to attend college gave her the “permission” to leave Los Angeles. She spoke about her reluctance to move while her kids were growing up, emphasizing her desire to be present during their formative years.

Since relocating, Farr discovered the freedom to explore new opportunities and enjoy new experiences. Her recent move marks a new chapter as she focuses on joy and fulfillment.

Farr began her acting career in the ’90s, with notable roles in “Roswell,” “Numb3rs,” and “Splitting Up Together.” Besides her career, she cherished raising her children against the backdrop of the Los Angeles sun and mountains.

In “Fire Country” Season 5, premiering October 9, 2026, Farr’s character Sharon explores life after loss and engages in new experiences, hinting at a more adventurous season.

On social media, Farr shared her thoughts about leaving Los Angeles after three decades, expressing gratitude for the opportunities and experiences she had in the city. She acknowledged the dreams that came true during her time in Hollywood.

Farr shares three children with her ex-husband Seung Yong Chung: son Beckett, 18, and twin daughters Coco and Sawyer, 17. As their lives evolve, Farr also embraces change, seeking a vibrant and joyful future.
