Trump Advisor Praises Karoline Leavitt as Departing Press Secretary

President Donald Trump’s senior political advisor, James Blair, commended outgoing White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt for her contributions in the West Wing. He cautioned the upcoming press secretary about the scrutiny they will face as the midterm elections approach.

Blair emphasized the challenges ahead, saying that the new press secretary would be closely watched due to Leavitt’s impactful tenure. Blair remarked, “She was really tremendous, with a unique connection to the president. She understood him and communicated his message with honor and loyalty.”

Leavitt plans to leave her role at the end of August to spend more time with her family.

“Whoever takes the podium next will need to work hard to disseminate President Trump’s message,” Blair added, acknowledging the hostile press environment they might face.

As Leavitt prepares to depart, the demand for her replacement intensifies, given the critical timing before the midterms. Blair’s analysis comes as parties gear up for the elections across the country.

Currently, Republicans hold slim majorities in both the House, with a 218-212 edge, and the Senate, with a 53-47 advantage. The Democrats need to secure a net gain of six House seats and four Senate seats in the upcoming elections to regain control.

Blair remains hopeful that Republicans will maintain their congressional majorities, positioning the election as a contest between “mainstream Republicans” and “extreme liberal Democrats.” He argues that Democrats aim to raise taxes and support policies such as abolishing police and prisons.
