Rookie’s Wrestling Moves Ignite Training Camp Brawl
New Orleans Saints rookie Brock Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, was involved in a training camp brawl with the Dallas Cowboys. Rechsteiner, known for his wrestling lineage, employed WWE-style moves during the scuffle, including German suplexes.
His actions drew attention from former WWE commentator Pat McAfee, who remarked on his show about Rechsteiner’s lineage and potential as a wrestler.
“This is Scott Steiner’s boy doing Rick Steiner’s German suplex,” McAfee said. “He should head to NXT and join Bron Breakker.”
Suspension Impact and Football History
Rechsteiner faces a suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy, sidelining him for the first six games of the season.
His college statistics show promise—over three years at Jacksonville State, he recorded 53 catches, 629 yards, and seven touchdowns. In his final year, he had 36 catches for 383 yards and five touchdowns.
Family Ties to Sports and Entertainment
Rechsteiner is connected to WWE through NIL deals, and his cousin Bron Breakker is rising quickly in the wrestling world.
His brother, Brandon Rechsteiner, played basketball for Colorado State Rams, averaging 12 points per game before transferring to Kansas State.
Mixed Athletic Career
Brock Rechsteiner initially joined the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent before signing with the New Orleans Saints.
His unique background in both wrestling and football makes him a subject of interest during training camps and matches.
