Federal Agents Conduct Sweeps in DOJ Investigation on Election Fraud
Federal agents have carried out operations as part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into election fraud in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Wisconsin. The probe has led to charges against individuals for illegal voting and falsifying citizenship status. This effort aligns with the Trump administration’s focus on addressing election-related crimes before the 2026 midterms.
In the past year, the Justice Department has pursued legal action against nearly 30 states to obtain confidential voter rolls. Additionally, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is now tasked with identifying unlawfully registered non-citizens.
“Despite the media and Democrats claiming it never happens, the evidence of non-citizens registering to vote in our elections continues to pile up,” noted White House spokesperson Lauren Bis. “Any non-citizens found registering to vote and voting in our elections will be held accountable. Only Americans should be electing American leaders.”
This statement comes after five individuals were charged with unlawfully casting ballots and other election fraud-related offenses during the 2022 and 2024 elections. Some face potential lengthy prison sentences if convicted. Among the arrested is Katya Rodriguez, a 30-year-old illegal alien from Mexico residing in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She faces charges for illegal voting as an alien in the 2024 election and could face up to 11 years in prison.
This crackdown follows a report from New Jersey about a software error leading to the registration of nearly 6,600 non-citizens to vote, with roughly 400 casting votes. Furthermore, an audit noted over 250,000 registered non-citizens across California, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Nevada.
Homeland Security Investigations has intensified efforts across nine states to address voter fraud. Acting Executive Associate Director John A. Condon emphasized the importance of safeguarding election integrity, stating, “Homeland Security Investigations is committed to safeguarding the integrity of our nation’s election systems.” He added, “The American people deserve confidence that our elections are protected from fraud and criminal exploitation, and that those who seek to undermine the law are held accountable.”
