A man from Louisiana is being sought by law enforcement following a string of violent incidents. Four people were found dead and a child severely injured. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office has identified 47-year-old Houma resident, Kaegan Jude Solet, as a person of interest.
Incident Overview
Detectives responded to the Ashland Drive area of Houma after receiving reports. They first discovered a critically injured child, as reported by Lt. Blake Tabor of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. The child has been flown to a hospital and remains in critical but stable condition.
Upon further investigation, four victims were found deceased inside nearby homes. Authorities have not yet revealed the identities of the victims or their possible connection to Solet or the injured child.
Suspect Background
This is not the first time Solet’s name has appeared in a crime investigation. In December 2019, Solet was arrested for allegedly stabbing a woman in a Houma motel room. The confrontation reportedly became violent, resulting in numerous injuries to the woman, who was eventually found by investigators.
Moreover, detectives had issued a warrant for Solet in January 2019 related to the killing of Kemple Paul Scott Lovell. Details of Solet’s release and the final outcomes of the previous cases remain unclear.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are actively pursuing Solet. Lt. Tabor remarked on the surprise surrounding Solet’s release from previous allegations, emphasizing the need for further investigation into past case handling.
The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office continues its efforts to gather more information and encourages the public to assist. Anyone with information about Solet’s whereabouts should contact the Sheriff’s Office.
Updates on the investigation will be provided as more details emerge.
