Tom Homan, the White House border czar, has confirmed that the Department of Homeland Security is investigating allegations related to Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn. Although details are not disclosed due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, Homan emphasized that no one is above the law, including congress members.
When questioned about evidence of Omar committing immigration or naturalization fraud, Homan remained reticent. He stated, “I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening.” He reiterated that Homeland Security Investigations would continue their work.
Over the years, Omar has faced accusations of marrying a man alleged to be her brother for immigration purposes. Omar has consistently denied these claims, often dismissing them as “bigoted lies” and attributing the narrative to former President Trump’s focus on her.
In a podcast, DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin suggested there might be broader implications related to family migration and possible illegal activities that facilitated their arrival in the United States.
Vice President JD Vance indicated that the Justice Department is investigating possible immigration fraud by Omar. In previous statements, he referred to potential legal actions and suggested irregularities related to Omar’s marital history.
Homan explained the denaturalization process for cases of proven immigration fraud as a significant legal step. “If someone lies through that process to become a citizen, and it is proven, they can absolutely be denaturalized,” he commented.
Fox News Digital reached out to Omar’s office for comments regarding the investigation.
