Starting on September 21, the New York Times will reveal a list of the 100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century. This list is based on votes from over 500 television professionals worldwide, including show creators, actors, writers, and craftspeople. These experts were asked to select the 10 best shows that have premiered since January 1, 2000. The criteria for ‘best’ was left to their discretion, whether judged by personal favorites, rewatchability, or artistic ambition.
Beginning September 21, 20 shows will be revealed each day, starting from No. 100. The countdown will culminate on September 25 with the announcement of the top show of the century. This ranking is expected to surprise both readers and editors alike.
