Teresa Giudice, star of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” claimed in a bodycam video that her daughter, Milania Giudice, allegedly had fentanyl in her system. This claim emerged during an interaction with officers at Tampa International Airport, as reported by Page Six.
In the footage, 20-year-old Milania responded, “Cause I was laced … I go to college,” while her sister Gia commented, “You’re reckless.” It remains uncertain when the alleged fentanyl incident took place, what substance was involved, or who might be responsible, according to TMZ.
Milania has appeared in episodes of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” alongside her mother. In the bodycam video obtained by Page Six, Milania requested to speak with her mother. An officer asked her to sit back down, reminding her that she was “not controlling the situation.”
As the incident unfolded, Teresa joined her daughter. An officer remarked, “This is never gonna go on a plane,” while escorting them to the elevator. The reason for Milania’s brief detention at the Florida airport is still unclear.
Teresa Giudice addressed the situation in a statement on social media after the bodycam footage was released. “As a mother, there is nothing more important to me than the health, safety, and well-being of my children,” she wrote. She described the past few months as incredibly challenging for the family and voiced a desire to protect her daughter during this vulnerable time.
Further, Teresa explained that Milania had suffered profound heartbreak and psychological trauma after losing two close friends. She emphasized that grief impacts everyone differently, and she is focused on ensuring her daughter receives love, support, and care.
Recognizing the public nature of their family life, Teresa acknowledged that questions and speculation would arise. She requested privacy for Milania, underscoring her daughter’s need to heal away from public scrutiny.
Teresa appealed for compassion and kindness, thanking those who have supported them. She urged the media and public to respect their privacy as they navigate the difficulties together.
Milania, along with her siblings Gia, Gabriella, and Audriana, is the daughter of Teresa and ex-husband Joe Giudice. She pleaded not guilty to assault charges in New Jersey in June, following an arrest the previous month.
Requests for comment were made to the Tampa police department and Teresa’s representatives by Fox News Digital.
