Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott has been recognized in the Broadcasting+Cable Hall of Fame. Her induction took place at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. This Hall of Fame celebrates key figures in the media industry who have had a significant influence.
Suzanne Scott joined Fox News in 1996, its first year of operation. Over the years, she has advanced through various roles, becoming CEO in 2018 and directing multiple platforms including Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and Fox News Digital.
The event featured Fox News host Bill Hemmer as one of the emcees, alongside ABC’s Will Reeve and CBS’s Vlad Duthiers. Hemmer introduced Scott, highlighting her role in leading diverse and successful media platforms under Fox News Media.
“Suzanne is not just the CEO looking for celebrity status, her focus is on the business, creating the best news and opinions nationally and globally,” noted Fox Corporation’s Lachlan Murdoch.
A video tribute during the event highlighted praise from Murdoch and others like “The Five” co-host Dana Perino, emphasizing the achievement of breaking barriers for women in media.
Scott expressed gratitude in her speech, thanking the Fox News family and acknowledging the Murdochs’ support. She credited the company’s success to a commitment to innovative storytelling across various broadcasts.
The ceremony was attended by Fox News personalities including Lawrence Jones and Harris Faulkner. Attendees described Scott as a driving force behind the company’s leadership and continued evolution in media.
Throughout her leadership, Scott introduced new platforms like the subscription service FOX Nation in 2018, FOX News International in 2020, and FOX Weather in 2021. These developments are part of her strategic efforts to enhance Fox News’s presence across various media channels.
The event also honored other significant figures like CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Food Network host Bobby Flay, joining a list of past inductees such as Oprah Winfrey and Walter Cronkite.
