Corey Pavin’s Wife Continues Cancer Battle
Corey Pavin, known for his win at the 1995 US Open, recently shared an update regarding his wife’s health. Lisa Pavin, Corey’s wife, must undergo further cancer treatments as her cancer persisted even after her initial chemotherapy.
In February, Pavin announced that Lisa, aged 52, had finished her chemotherapy. However, on Tuesday, he took to social media to inform followers about her upcoming cell-based gene therapy. The specific type of cancer Lisa faces remains undisclosed by the couple.
Pavin expressed optimism in his Instagram post. He noted, “Seven plus months ago, I posted that Lisa had her last chemotherapy. We found out a couple months ago that her cancer never went away completely.” Despite this challenge, Pavin remains hopeful about the CAR-T infusion Lisa receives at The Mayo Clinic.
He praised the nurses and doctors for their support and expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of love from friends and well-wishers. Many messages offered prayers, including support from well-known athletes like Troy Aikman and Kenny Lofton.
Even amidst these personal challenges, Pavin continues to play professionally. He recently participated in the Sanford International at Minnehaha Country Club.
