Hilary Swank has revealed surprising news: the actress is pregnant with her third child at 52. This follows the birth of her twins when she was 48. Swank, known for her role in “Million Dollar Baby,” shared this announcement with a creative video featuring her family. In the video posted on social media, they danced with glowsticks taped to their bodies, eventually revealing her baby bump. The caption joked about her ‘next project’ arriving in December.

Three years prior, Swank and her husband, Philip Schneider, became parents to twins, daughter Aya and son Ohm. Both Swank and Schneider are 52. Experts note the rarity of her pregnancy at this age. Dr. Kameelah Phillips, an OB-GYN, commented on the situation. “It’s extremely rare to be pregnant at 52,” she stated, citing significant medical considerations. “Most women in this age group are entering menopause. However, with IVF, even if the ovaries slow down, the uterus can carry a pregnancy.”

Phillips emphasized Swank’s likely involvement with a high-risk medical team. “There are increased risks such as gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, diabetes, and a higher likelihood of a C-section,” she explained.

Swank discussed motherhood during an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning” after her twin’s birth. She highlighted the benefits of becoming a parent later in life. “Being an older parent allowed me to pursue my acting dreams fully. Now, I can focus on motherhood without distractions,” she expressed.
