Cassie Ventura recently left the United States after testifying in the trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs last summer, as indicated by documents acquired by Fox News Digital. She served as a vital witness during Diddy’s sex crimes trial, testifying for four days.
Last month, Cassie, 39, filed a motion to change the venue of her legal dispute with former male escort Clayton Howard. Howard’s lawsuit, initiated last year, alleged “sexual exploitation, trafficking, and abuse” over 10 years by Diddy and his ex-girlfriend.
On May 1, Cassie submitted a request to move Howard’s case from California to a New York court. She noted that many similar claims against Diddy were already filed in New York.
“Plaintiff is a resident of New Jersey and can easily travel to New York City,” stated the documents. “Ms. Ventura does not reside in the United States, but it is more convenient for her to travel to New York than California.”
She underscored that many relevant events took place in New York City and many witnesses live in the area. More than two dozen civil cases involving Diddy are pending in New York courts, reinforcing the need for the venue change.
In another filing, Cassie declared her U.S. citizenship but specified she does not reside in California or intend to return to the U.S. She remarked that New York is a more convenient location for her participation in the ongoing case.
Cassie’s representatives did not comment on requests from Fox News Digital.
The “Me & U” singer recently had her third child with her husband, Alex Fine, in May 2025. Shortly after, she concluded her testimony in Diddy’s trial. Cassie and Fine married in 2019 and have two daughters.
During her court appearance, Cassie made several serious allegations against Diddy. She claimed that in 2018, Diddy raped her after she tried to end their relationship. She also mentioned having sought trauma therapy beginning in 2023 due to flashbacks from past abuses.
Cassie revealed plans to receive a $10 million settlement from InterContinental Hotel linked to an assault incident in 2016.
In a hotel incident on March 5, 2016, Cassie alleged she received a black eye from Diddy during a “freak off.” She testified about another violent episode in a hotel hallway that year. Surveillance footage showed Diddy dragging her, which was revealed to the jury.
The trial concluded on July 2. Diddy was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking but convicted on lesser charges of promoting prostitution. He received a sentence of over four years in prison and is serving time at FCI Fort Dix. Diddy’s release is anticipated in February 2028.
