Search for Shooter After Fatal Graduation Shooting in California
Authorities are actively searching for a shooter following a tragic incident in California where one person was killed and three others were injured at a high school graduation event.
The incident occurred in the parking lot of Fairfield High School at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. According to local reports, the shooting started soon after the graduation ceremony of Sam Yeteo High School concluded and people began gathering to take photos.
Fairfield Police Department spokesperson Officer Michelle Belyea confirmed that four individuals were shot. She stated, “One is deceased and three others are receiving treatment at local hospitals.” However, no information was provided regarding the identities or the severity of injuries of the victims.
Officer Belyea also mentioned that there are no suspects in custody and did not release any additional details or a description of the shooter.
On Wednesday evening, Suisun City Mayor Alma Hernandez took to Facebook to inform about an “active shooter chase” occurring in Fairfield.
