Nearly a year has passed since Charli XCX completed her ‘Brat Tour.’ Now, she is returning with a new tour titled ‘Music, Fashion, Film.’ This summer, the 33-year-old singer will travel with emerging hyperpop artist Underscores.
The two-month-long tour supports her seventh album, also named ‘Music, Fashion, Film,’ set for release on July 24. The tour begins on September 11 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and ends at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on October 23.
The tour includes 12 shows, with Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum hosting two shows each. She will also perform in major cities such as Boston, Washington, Atlanta, San Diego, and Glendale. Toronto is the only Canadian city included in this North America tour.
On Instagram, Charli XCX expressed her excitement, posting, “soooo excited to announce the Music, Fashion, Film Tour! Sign up for presale access now through June 10th at 11pm ET at charlixcx.com/tour. Can’t wait to party together again, it’s gonna be cute xx.” Additionally, she mentioned on her Instagram Story that UK dates would be added soon.
The tour announcement thrilled many fans. However, some were disappointed by the limited number of dates. A few expressed frustration over missing regions like the Midwest. One fan questioned, “Why call it a North American tour if only one date is outside of the US?” Another added, “why do they even call it North American tour? just call it usa tour atp with only one Canada date.”
Despite some criticisms, others praised her vision. One admirer commented, “Calling it the ‘Music, Fashion, Film Tour’ with this vintage newsprint aesthetic… oh she is about to deliver a visual masterpiece!” Another noted, “music fashion film sounds like a rejection of traditional touring and more like an immersive experience concept rather than concerts.”
