Danielle Fishel, known for her role as Topanga Lawrence in “Boy Meets World,” shares the secret behind her fitness success. She has shifted away from traditional cardio, focusing instead on weightlifting. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Fishel revealed her new approach to staying fit.
Attending the Tribeca Festival for her latest project “Doc Meets World,” Fishel explained, “I don’t do cardio anymore. I like to walk for 20 to 30 minutes after every meal, but I lift them weights, and it has made all the difference.” The 45-year-old actress stands as one of many celebrities embracing strength training over cardio for long-term health benefits.
Her fitness insights emerged during a reunion with former castmates Rider Strong and Will Friedle at the Tribeca Festival. The reunion also explored their experiences growing up in the spotlight while working on the beloved ’90s series.
Rider Strong, who played Shawn, reflected on his bond with Ben Savage, stating, “He was so talented, and he taught me how to be a child actor really.” Strong emphasized the intense bond shared with Savage during the sitcom’s run from 1993 to 2000.
Will Friedle, who portrayed Eric Matthews, discussed the challenges of child stardom. He admitted there were moments where leaving Hollywood felt possible, but ultimately, his passion for entertaining kept him in the industry. “The love of needing to entertain,” he said, was what drew him back.
