Knicks’ Championship Celebration With Free Ticket Lottery
On Thursday, New York City will host a special ceremony at City Hall to celebrate the Knicks’ championship victory. This event will begin at noon, following a ticker-tape parade through the Canyon of Heroes in Lower Manhattan.
The city is offering 600 free tickets to the ceremony through a public lottery, which will remain open until 11 a.m. on Wednesday. According to Mayor Zohran Mamdani, 300 lottery winners will be chosen, with each selecting two tickets for the event. Lottery participants will be notified of their status after it closes.
The celebration will feature speeches and musical performances. During the event, Mayor Mamdani will present the Knicks players with keys to the city. He expressed the team’s unifying impact on the city, stating, “The Knicks brought together New Yorkers from every borough and every walk of life. That’s why we’re making these tickets free and accessible.”
