In the early hours of Saturday, a tragic accident occurred in Munich, Germany, where two cargo trains collided on a bridge. This collision led to the death of one individual. Additionally, two carriages derailed and fell onto the street below, as reported by local police.
The cause of this incident is currently under investigation, according to a police spokesperson in Munich. The collision took place in the Milbertshofen district, a northern area of the city.
Rescue operations were quickly mobilized for the freight train cars that had plunged from the bridge. Emergency services were alerted at 1:40 a.m. local time. Approximately 60 first responders promptly arrived at the scene, a fire department spokesperson mentioned.
