Algeria’s Victory Sets Up Crucial Match Against Austria

Algeria aims to secure a place in the knockout stage with a win against Austria on Saturday. Amine Gouiri then delivered the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute. This victory marked Algeria’s first World Cup win since 2014.

Jordan took an early lead with a goal by Nizar Al Rashdan. However, Algeria’s relentless pressure in the second half turned the tide. His header went into the corner of the net, beyond the reach of goalkeeper Yazeed Abulaila. Gouiri then sealed the win for Algeria by deflecting a ball off Abulaila and into the net, prompting celebrations among Algerian fans at Levi’s Stadium.
