Massive Search Underway for Missing Navy Commander

The United States Navy is conducting an extensive search for Cmdr. Gabriel Edwards following a helicopter incident in the Arabian Sea. Cmdr. Edwards served as the commanding officer of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 5.

On July 1, the helicopter carrying Cmdr. Edwards made an emergency landing in the sea. While three crew members were quickly rescued, Cmdr. Edwards remains missing. This prompted a large-scale search operation covering 14,000 square miles. The search efforts have involved multiple Navy ships and aircraft as the search continues.
