Trump’s NATO Summit: Meetings with Challenging Allies
President Donald Trump is set to participate in working sessions with allies on Wednesday. This comes after meetings with the leaders of Ukraine and Syria, at times putting him at odds with some of these partners.
On Tuesday, Trump greeted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during a state arrival ceremony. This meeting took place ahead of the main events of the NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey.
The critical portion of Trump’s visit will occur on Wednesday. He will engage in discussions with European leaders, some of whom he has had disagreements with over issues such as the Iran and Russia-Ukraine conflicts. These talks are crucial to address the ongoing geopolitical tensions and strengthen alliances.
