Bahrain reported intercepting several Iranian aerial attacks. Meanwhile, China’s decreased crude oil imports—down over 40 percent from last year—could slow the rise in oil prices unless it increases demand.

Jordan announced its air defenses shot down four Iranian missiles. U.S. Central Command had recently struck multiple Iranian military sites to impair their capability to assault vessels.

The potential fee on shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, as proposed by Trump, could significantly inflate transport costs.
