Incident at University of Chicago

On Thursday, local reports confirmed the shooting deaths of two individuals inside a vehicle on the University of Chicago campus. The victims, a 27-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man, were found in the 5900 block of South Ellis, near Midway Plaisance Ice Skating Rink and Harper Quad. Both had suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

Chicago police stated that the man and woman were taken to the university hospital in critical condition but were later pronounced dead. It is unclear if they had any connection to the university.

Investigation Details

A firearm was recovered at the scene. Video footage showed the vehicle appeared to have crashed, possibly during or after the shooting. This incident remains under investigation.
