Bret Michaels Recovers From Kidney Stone Surgery

Bret Michaels has provided an update about his health after sharing news of his struggle with a kidney stone. The 63-year-old musician posted on Facebook about his recovery following a procedure to remove a kidney stone that was causing intense pain.

On Wednesday, July 22, Michaels expressed gratitude to the medical team who treated him. He wrote about the pain that persisted for nearly a week, requiring hospital intervention after the stone did not pass on its own. Despite the discomfort, he continued to perform in locations such as Charleston, West Virginia and Grantville, Pennsylvania, as well as a special show at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane for veterans and their families.

After the last show, Michaels was admitted to the hospital when the pain became unbearable. He informed his followers that the operation to remove the kidney stone was successful. He stated his eagerness to return to performing once fully recovered.

Describing his experience, Michaels shared a photo from the hospital. The image shows him in a hospital bed wearing an all-black outfit and a baseball cap. Despite his condition, he shared a lighthearted remark about being persuaded to change into a hospital gown.

Fans quickly responded to Michaels’ post, wishing him a fast recovery. Expressions of support included messages like “Keep on keeping on” and well wishes for his return to good health.

Michaels initially revealed his kidney stone-related pain following a show at Fairchild AFB in Spokane. He mentioned on Instagram that the stone ‘kicked his butt’ but he continued the show without interruptions.
