Police Search for Suspect in Berlin Pride Festival Incident

Police in Germany are actively searching for a suspect named Abdul B. He is accused of driving a van into a Pride festival in Berlin, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to at least 16 others. The suspect, aged 21, is reportedly associated with Islamist groups, though no arrests have been made yet. The manhunt in the German capital continues.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. local time on Saturday when a white van struck attendees at a Pride event in Tiergarten Park. The vehicle hit several individuals before crashing into a tree. Tragically, authorities confirmed a fatality three hours after the attack. Additionally, several individuals suffered injuries from stabbing weapons during the incident. It is believed that one or more occupants fled the vehicle.

The suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie and white pants. He is of a slim build, approximately six feet two with black hair. Police have advised the public to avoid any direct contact with the suspect, warning that he may be armed and dangerous. Police spokesperson Florian Nath stated, “The suspect is known to police. Our search for this person is proceeding at full speed.”
