U.S. and Russian Space Crew Lands Safely After 8-Month Mission

An American and Russian space crew has returned to Earth without any issues, landing in the steppes of Kazakhstan on Sunday. They had completed an eight-month stay on the International Space Station (ISS). NASA astronaut Chris Williams, along with Russian cosmonauts Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev, landed in their Soyuz MS-28 module. The descent was smoothly cushioned by parachutes, and they touched down in a designated area southeast of Dzhezkazgan.

The crew spent 241 days in orbit. For Williams and Mikaev, this marked their first space mission, while it was the second for Kud-Sverchkov.
