Savannah Guthrie’s Plea to Mother’s Abductor

Savannah Guthrie addressed a direct appeal to her mother’s kidnapper on Monday, more than 25 weeks since 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Arizona residence.

In an emotional message shared through her Instagram account, Savannah Guthrie reached out to those responsible for the abduction, expressing that her family is in deep distress and will continue their search. She urged the kidnappers to, “Do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her.”

“I’m coming on today with a very specific message. It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed. We have done our part, and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts. The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place,” Savannah Guthrie expressed.

She expressed her belief that it is never too late to take the right action, adding, “Help us bring this situation to an end. For all of us. No matter where we’ve been and what we’ve done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice.”

Savannah and her husband, Michael Feldman, were seen at LaGuardia Airport in New York City, preparing to travel. She had just finished her segment on “Today” and had left the set following a security breach incident. She has since been off-air for a new “Wordle” game show.

The family urges anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI for a reward exceeding $1 million. An additional reward is available for tips leading to an arrest, which can be reported anonymously to Tucson’s Crime Stoppers at 520-88-CRIME.

According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, the elder Guthrie was taken from her home in the Catalina Foothills area during the early hours of February 1. The findings from DNA and other forensic analyses remain undisclosed as the investigation continues. The authenticity of a suspected ransom note and a follow-up claiming her death has not been verified by authorities.
