Tornado Strikes Appleton, Wisconsin, Causing Major Damage
A severe tornado struck the southern area of Appleton, Wisconsin, on Monday, leading to extensive destruction. The storm caused the roof of Miller Electric in Appleton to collapse, highlighting the tornado’s intensity.
Forecasters had previously identified an enhanced risk for severe weather on Monday. However, they had predicted a marginal possibility of tornado activity. The discrepancy underscored the tornado’s unexpected strength and impact.
If the National Weather Service confirms EF3-level damage, this would mark the fourth EF3 tornado in Wisconsin this year.
