Teens on E-Bikes Disrupt Orlando’s Downtown
Recently, hundreds of teenagers on e-bikes caused disruption in a busy downtown area of Orlando, Florida. This led to several charges, according to local police. The incident posed a serious safety risk and resulted in traffic delays for residents in the vicinity.
The Orlando Police Department shared a video on social media, showing the teens surrounding vehicles at intersections and blocking an ambulance with flashing lights. Law enforcement officials noted that this reckless behavior, such as running red lights and obstructing traffic, jeopardizes everyone’s safety—including the riders themselves.
Footage included in the video showed police officers apprehending some of the riders. Both bodycam and surveillance footage documented these actions. The police department emphasized in their social media post that dangerous activities of this kind will not be tolerated. They reassured the public that officers will continue to enforce laws to maintain safety in the downtown area.
In a statement to FOX 35 Orlando, the police mentioned that due to the group’s size and mobility, not all participants were arrested immediately. However, enforcement measures were taken when conditions allowed for safe intervention. The exact number of teens charged during the incident remains unclear. The video also showed one e-biker performing a stunt in front of an ambulance in an intersection.
