Justin Herbert and Madison Beer Announce Engagement

Justin Herbert, quarterback for the Los Angeles Chargers, has announced his engagement to Madison Beer, a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter. The announcement was shared via an Instagram post on Tuesday, accompanied by a touching photo. In the image, Herbert is seen on one knee, offering a ring to Beer, who is smiling as she crouches with her hand on his knee. Their caption simply stated, “Meet my fiancé.”

The couple received numerous congratulatory messages, including ones from the NFL, the Chargers, and singer Gracie Abrams. Herbert and Beer were first seen together last August. Beer showed her support for Herbert by attending several Chargers games last season, including one where they shared a kiss on the sidelines. The pair has also been spotted attending Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers games together.

In the spring, Herbert was featured in Beer’s music video for the song “lovergirl.” Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh has expressed his support for Herbert’s relationship. When Herbert took time off voluntary offseason workouts to join Beer on her tour, Harbaugh humorously asked if he needed a ride to the airport.

Herbert, 28, is preparing for his seventh season with the Chargers as training camp starts. Despite strong performances, the team has not yet won a playoff game during his tenure.

Madison Beer, 27, rose to fame after Justin Bieber shared a link to her cover of “At Last” on social media in 2012. Her debut single followed in 2013, featuring Bieber. Beer was nominated for Grammy Awards in 2024 and 2025. She has since revealed struggles with social anxiety, which led to her departure from the awards show after attending the red carpet.
