Cristina Ulbrich, Wife of Falcons Coordinator, Passes Away

Cristina Ulbrich, spouse of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, passed away on Sunday after battling cancer. The Falcons expressed their sorrow in a statement, describing her as a devoted wife, mother, and friend known for her strength and resilience.

“Cristina was a profound source of love and support for Jeff, their family, and the entire Falcons community,” the statement read.

Jeff Ulbrich, currently involved with the New York Jets, shared a strong bond with Cristina. They were seen together before a recent game against the Buffalo Bills. The couple has three children: Samantha, Jax, and Jace.

Jeff and Cristina’s relationship began during his recruitment visit to Hawaii in 1997. Jeff’s coaching career includes several significant roles. He was the Falcons’ defensive coordinator since last year, following a tenure with the New York Jets, where he also served as interim head coach in 2024.

In 2020, he was promoted to assistant head coach and linebackers coach for the Falcons. Later that year, he became the defensive coordinator under interim head coach Raheem Morris. Jeff returned to the Falcons as a defensive coordinator after Morris’s departure.

Before his coaching career, Jeff played in the NFL for a decade with the San Francisco 49ers. After retiring as a player, he began coaching with the Seattle Seahawks and later joined the UCLA Bruins as a linebackers coach and special teams coordinator.

The Falcons, alongside many others, offer their deepest condolences to Jeff, their children, and all who knew Cristina during this difficult time.
