Cruise Passenger Accused of Assaulting Children

A cruise passenger allegedly intoxicated during the voyage is accused of attacking two children on a Carnival cruise ship. David Lawrence Crosby II, aged 44 from Surrency, Georgia, was detained on July 27 and faces two charges of child abuse according to records from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident reportedly occurred on July 26 aboard the Carnival Glory, which departs from Port Canaveral, Florida, to the Bahamas. Crosby allegedly ran into three children playing tag in a hallway. He is accused of hitting one child, resulting in a bloody lip and head pain, and of striking another child in the stomach.

The altercation was recorded on the ship’s security cameras. After his arrest by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, Crosby admitted to officers he was “heavily intoxicated” and claimed he had no memory of the incident.

Carnival Cruise Line issued a statement to Fox News Digital, stating their security team responded immediately to the situation. “Our security team responded immediately to an incident involving an intoxicated guest aboard Carnival Glory on July 26,” stated a Carnival spokesperson.

Crosby was confined to his cabin for the journey’s remainder and handed over to local law enforcement upon arrival. Carnival also imposed a code of conduct violation fee and put him on their Do Not Sail list. The cruise line stressed its zero-tolerance policy for such behavior.

Crosby was released on two $10,000 bonds, totaling $20,000. Court documents reveal he pleaded not guilty on Wednesday, with an arraignment scheduled for August 25.
