Baron Corbin has made a successful comeback in WWE, culminating in his victory over Trick Williams at SummerSlam to reclaim the United States Championship. This event took place at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on August 2, 2026.

Corbin’s return to WWE was marked by a clear determination to pursue the title held by Williams. He capitalized on a crucial moment during their match, seizing the opportunity when Williams was distracted, to clinch the championship.

Williams started the match with his valet, rapper Lil Yachty, by his side. While Yachty had often been an advantage for Williams, he inadvertently hindered him this time. At one point, Yachty’s attempt to threaten Corbin with the “Trick Stick” backfired, drawing Corbin’s focus back to Williams.

As Corbin brought the U.S. title into the ring, Yachty intervened on the apron. Corbin then hip-checked Williams, causing him to collide with Yachty, who tumbled through a table. Taking advantage of the situation with both Williams and the referee distracted, Corbin struck Williams with the belt.

Corbin executed his End of Days finishing move on Williams, securing the pin and victory. This marked Corbin’s second time as U.S. champion, his first being in 2017.

After initially leaving WWE in 2024, Corbin thrived on the independent circuit, becoming a tag team champion in Major League Wrestling with Donovan Dijak. His return to WWE has now been crowned with this title win.
