Law enforcement responded to Perez Hilton’s home in Miami after reports of self-harm during a TikTok livestream. The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office noted receiving multiple alerts about the incident and took immediate action.

A statement from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office highlighted the priority of de-escalating situations involving individuals in mental health crises. They stressed the importance of creating time, distance, and opening lines of communication to reduce risks.

“Deputies quickly located the individual’s residence, where they spoke with family members and confirmed he was alone inside,” the statement detailed.

Officers have tactically withdrawn while continuing to monitor the situation. They are providing necessary support to Hilton’s family. A source informed Fox News Digital that Hilton has been placed under psychiatric observation according to the Florida Baker Act, with evidence of superficial cuts.

The Florida Baker Act authorizes law enforcement, judges, and certain mental health professionals to initiate an involuntary mental health evaluation when appropriate. Typically, this process lasts up to 72 hours.

Hilton’s representative has not yet offered a comment. Earlier in the year, Hilton was hospitalized due to severe sepsis and infections. He resides in Miami with his mother and three children.
