Masked Prowler Spotted in Elite Boston Suburb

A wealthy suburban area near Boston, Massachusetts is alert to a masked prowler. Cameras captured the individual outside a home in the early hours of Sunday, August 2. According to the Weston Police Department, the surveillance footage shows a masked person, possibly wearing a bicycle helmet, wandering around a property between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. The person did not enter the home, but the police are seeking public help for this ‘suspicious incident.’

The police noted the person was on private property during the night and stated, ‘Based on the circumstances, we believe the person’s intentions were likely not lawful.’ The footage shows the individual around an affluent neighborhood, which is known for its high-value real estate and proximity to Boston.

Weston Police revealed the figure might have come from a nearby trail and approached the house on Highland Street with a flashlight. An image provided by the police shows the person aiming the flashlight at a three-car garage. In another instance, the individual appears to carry a hunting chair from the property to nearby woods, identified by police as possibly wearing a bicycle helmet in the video.

Weston Police Chief Denis Linehan expressed concern over the incident, stating to CBS Boston, ‘It’s creepy, there is no doubt about it.’ Chief Linehan emphasized the concern over a masked individual on private property, especially during early morning hours.

Authorities request local residents to review their surveillance or doorbell footage from that time. Any evidence, even someone walking or bicycling around the area, might be valuable to the investigation.
