2026 USA Women’s FIBA World Cup Roster Announced
The United States has unveiled its roster for the 2026 women’s FIBA World Cup team. The lineup features prominent WNBA stars who will proudly represent the nation.
Players selected for the squad include Aliyah Boston from the Indiana Fever, Paige Bueckers from the Dallas Wings, and Caitlin Clark from the Fever. Joining them are Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, Kahleah Copper from Mercury, and Chelsea Gray from Las Vegas Aces. The team also includes Rhyne Howard from the Atlanta Dream, Kelsey Plum from Mercury, and Angel Reese from the Dream. Rounding out the roster are Breanna Stewart from the Liberty, A’ja Wilson from the Aces, and Jackie Young from the Aces.
USA Basketball Women’s National Team managing director Sue Bird commented, “The makeup of the roster is straightforward. We wanted a good mix of experience and youth, which prepares us for the future. Our aim is to create a cohesive team that can play Coach Kara Lawson’s style and strive for gold.”
Despite the impressive lineup, some notable players were left off. Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty, Olivia Miles of the Minnesota Lynx, and Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury did not make the team. The absence of Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell sparked significant fan reactions.
