Former Air Force Secretary’s Security Clearance Revoked

The U.S. Department of War has withdrawn former Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall’s clearance to access classified information. This decision follows an alleged unauthorized disclosure concerning Air Force One’s capabilities.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell announced the action on a social media platform, stating that the revocation is effective immediately. Kendall is also banned from occupying any sensitive positions.

“Effective immediately, the Department of War has revoked former Secretary of the Air Force Frank Kendall’s eligibility for access to classified information and his ability to hold any sensitive position. This action follows his unauthorized disclosure of classified information regarding Air Force One’s capabilities to a media outlet. Safeguarding classified information is a non-negotiable duty. Those who violate that trust forfeit the privilege of access and any role requiring it,” Parnell stated.

Kendall had been serving as the secretary of the Air Force during the administration of former President Joe Biden. His security clearance was rescinded due to allegations of leaking details about Air Force One to media outlets.
