Renee Olstead’s Role in Francesca Hong’s Campaign

Renee Olstead, former child actress and current OnlyFans model, is playing a significant role in Wisconsin state Rep. Francesca Hong’s gubernatorial campaign. Serving as the deputy campaign manager, Olstead, also known as Renee Faust, has been involved since at least January, according to The Heartland Post.

Olstead’s online presence supports her campaign involvement, with her X bio stating “HONG 4 GOV” and linking to Hong’s voter mobilization page. Social media photos show her active participation at campaign events. The Heartland Post noted her coordination of logistics for notable supporters, such as streamer and political commentator Hasan Piker.

The campaign confirmed Olstead’s involvement in their statement but did not specify her title. They highlighted her background as a licensed mental health clinician focusing on trafficking survivors and her contribution to building a grassroots campaign.

Previously, Olstead founded the Coalition for American Sex Workers, advocating for policy changes and decriminalization. Last year, Hong and colleagues recognized her efforts with an official citation from the Wisconsin State Assembly for her advocacy and her selection as “Penthouse Pet of the Year” in 2024.

Hong has supported legislation aimed at decriminalizing adult prostitution and establishing a sex workers’ bill of rights. Her participation in presenting the citation to Olstead sparked questions from Fox News Digital, which were not directly addressed by the campaign.

Wisconsin Family Action, a conservative group, criticized Olstead’s role in Hong’s campaign, questioning the seriousness of her candidacy.

Hong has expressed progressive views on social media, such as abolishing the U.S. Senate and defunding the police, but has recently distanced herself from these positions as the primary approaches. She is competing against Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, former Wisconsin Department of Administration Secretary Joel Brennan, and Democratic state Sen. Kelda Roys.

Hong also clarified her stance on Thanksgiving, previously criticized for a post proposing to “cancel Thanksgiving.” She now states it is her favorite holiday and has no intention to cancel it.
