Country musician Tyler Hubbard recently shared insights into his latest musical project during an interview with Fox News Digital. The 39-year-old artist talked about the impact of “The Chosen,” a television series depicting biblical stories, and his associated album.
Influence of ‘The Chosen’ on Family
Hubbard expressed how the show has brought the Bible to life for his children. He remarked on its educational effect, saying it has sparked numerous conversations about Jesus’s life. “We talk through all these stories,” he said. “It really kind of sticks. It could be two years down the road, we’ll be reading a Bible story and they’ll already know it.”
He praised the show’s production quality and accuracy, noting how special it is to reference the Bible stories while engaging with his kids.
Musical Contribution to the Show
Hubbard, formerly part of the duo Florida Georgia Line, also discussed his involvement in writing a song for “The Chosen.” When offered the chance, he was eager to participate. His background in church worship music made this project, involving a faith-based song, particularly meaningful.
The song, “All I Need Is You,” is the first single from his new album inspired by the show. It was released on August 7 and will feature in the show’s sixth season. The album, produced by 5&2 Studios and Capitol Christian Music Group, will debut later this year.
Family Adventures and an Unexpected Incident
Hubbard recounted a recent fishing trip with his family, which included a minor mishap. “I was just fishing one morning,” he recounted, “I had a treble hook just stick me pretty hard right in the back of the head.” His wife assisted with removing the hook, which took about half an hour.
Despite being advised to seek professional help, Hubbard decided to manage the situation himself. He shared the incident on Instagram, capturing his wife’s attempts at removal while his children voiced concern in the background.
The video provoked responses from others sharing similar experiences, including an urgent care nurse mentioning their typical procedures for such situations. Hayley, Hubbard’s wife, also posted about the trip, noting their enjoyment of nature and interactions with the mishap.
