NAIROBI — The Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo has resulted in over 2,000 deaths. Health authorities are confronting a rapidly spreading situation they suspect began earlier than initially acknowledged. Government records indicate a total of 2,011 deaths and 4,381 confirmed cases, as reported by the Associated Press.
